Gender and toys

During the last year we've had meetings where some people have said "it's just for boys" or "girls won't enjoy making what you're doing".

We think they're wrong. But we want to be sure.

In the playtesting we do, including testing with school groups, the girls enjoy the experience as much as boys.

Our survey is intended to look at the toys that children, young and old, girls and boys, like and dislike, and also the toys they'd really love to have. It can be completed in about 10 minutes or less. It's very simple, although small people may need some help.

Apart from asking your age and gender we don't ask you for any personal information. We do invite you to sign up for our newsletter at the end, but this is entirely discretionary.

The data from the survey will be available as Open Data from December 2014, with the survey closing on December 31st 2014 at midnight to give us, and anyone else who wants to, time to analyse it in time for London Toy Fair 2015.
